Yep, another long absence. give me a break, I have a wedding to plan. ilish (https://www.deviantart.com/ilish) I've taken a couple of decent excursions recently.  The first was back out to the DC monuments at night.  When I went last year, I didn't have a remote shutter, making it very hard to get a decent shot at a 30 sec exposure.  This time, I was loaded down with better lenses, a better tripod, and a remote shutter, along with my 50D, which has a better ISO than my old 10D.  The result...awesome shots.  Well, decent shots.  A couple of great ones, and a bunch I didn't like at all.  I was a little short on time when I went...it started raining as I was walking back t

I liked a lot of the shots I took, but I'm pretty disappointed with them on t

My birthday present from everyone/to myself (all I asked for from everyone was cash towards it, and I paid for the rest).  I've been eyeing this for months now.  I finally decided it was time to pull the trigger.  I went down to Penn Camera, walked right up to the counter and said "show me the 50D."  The salesman took it down from the rack and slapped a battery in it, and put a 50mm lens on.  I played with it for about 2 minutes before I said "I'll take it." I could have gotten it for $200-$300 cheaper online.  But I like Penn Camera.  The people that work there a

Hello! Just to a look-see through your gallery. What great pictures! I especially love the ones of nature - such a beautiful, natural feel to all of them. The heron flying over the water was breathtaking. Keep up the great work!
